IFDC Group: Leading in Renewable Energy

IFDC Group of Companies is a professional renewable energy services and solutions provider addressing electricity and energy challenges and improving access with the aim of promoting socio-economic capital and environmental sustainability. Our journey started with a diversified portfolio, and our mission and vision were set to provide services through essential sectors, ultimately contributing to and raising the socio-economic condition of the country. We started our journey in 2011 with the 40MW HFO Power Plant at Nawapara, Jashore. Our core business is to generate and distribute electricity to BPDB (Bangladesh Power Development Board). We diversified to the renewable energy sector and established the second-largest 50MW Solar Power Plant at Sutiakhali, Mymensingh, which obtained COD in 2020 through a joint venture with Singapore and Malaysia.

In 2020, our 50MW Solar Power Plant at Sutiakhali, Mymensingh achieved commercial operation, marking a significant milestone in our renewable energy journey. This project, established through a joint venture with Singapore and Malaysia, stands as the second-largest solar power plant in the region, showcasing our commitment to sustainable energy solutions. While our core business is to generate and distribute electricity to BPDB, one of our companies, Brahmaputra Trade International, engages in supplying various consumer goods to armed forces, including the Bangladesh Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, BGB, Ansar, and VDB. Besides the energy sector, BPTI Ltd., a subsidiary of IFDC Group, is involved in supply and services across defense and government procurement, construction and development, travel agency, manpower and consultancy, import and export, among other areas.

Lama Solar 70MW

Pinnacle Omni Traders Ltd., a sister concern of IFDC Group, has recently made significant progress with its 70MW solar project. The company has submitted an EOI (DPP) Proposal, negotiated a tariff with the government, and started acquiring lands at Fashikhali, in Lama, Bandarban. This development underlines our continuous efforts to expand our renewable energy portfolio and contribute to the nation’s energy sustainability.
